Meeting in Olney Market Place, members train on the pavements, parks, roads and (when we can) cross-country paths around Olney. Five separate groups are organised by typical running pace, each group led by a group Run Leader. A session might focus on speed endurance, speed work, hill work, fartlek, race technique, pyramids or other activities, and occasionally run a ‘hot lap’ of Olney. Some members end sessions with refreshments in one of the local pubs!
Meeting at Stantonbury Track in Milton Keynes, members train with laps/distances in mind – a chance for everyone to pace and push themselves against the clock. Sessions focus on everything from short sprints to speed endurance, with repetitions and recovery.
If you're new to track, check out the 'Runners Guide to Track' below.
Meeting in Olney, a completely mixed ability group running approximately 5-8 km at ‘the pace of chat’ and finishing with refreshments in a café!
Usually meeting in Emberton Park, members focus on running fitness and form through High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) - a series of strength, stability, suppleness, aerobic and yoga-based exercises, with some great music! This leads to stronger and more efficient running, and aids injury prevention.
